Current PE co-ordinator: Miss Cole

At Midsomer Norton Primary School we endeavour to provide our children with a broad and balanced PE curriculum. We aim to improve children's fundamental skills and then, through a range of interesting and engaging sports, develop their understanding of tactics and self-improvement. Our children love their PE lessons and by looking at the opportunities in our curriculum map, I'm sure you can see why!

Sports Relief Week 19th-23rd March 2018

Sports Relief Week is approaching!  To celebrate and to raise the profile of sport and physical activity, we will be celebrating all things sport and exercise related. We will have a variety of exciting activities during break and lunch times for the children to be more active and develop their physical skills. Play leaders and Year 6 sports leaders will be helping to organise games and activities during these times.

Sports themed dress up day

On Friday 23rd March, pupils are invited to come into school dressed as either their favourite sportsman or sportswoman, or in their own sports clothes. Perhaps they attend an after-school sports club and would like to wear their kit? It would be a great opportunity to show how diverse our children’s sporting interests are- ballerinas, cricketers, rugby players, footballers to name a few!

As Sports Relief is a fantastic opportunity to not only raise the profile of sport, but also to raise money for those who are not as fortunate, we suggest a £1 donation for the dress up day. We also welcome any other donations via ‘ParentPay’ or cash.
