OFSTED/ Evaluation

OFSTED

All schools are inspected by OFSTED to provide an external assessment of their effectiveness. Strengths of the school and areas for improvement are identified. Please click here to read our most recent Ofsted Report (Feb 2013).

A new inspection framework was put in place in September 2015. This means the way in which schools are inspected has been changed. The views of parents have a very important role in an OFSTED inspection. You can offer your views via the OFSTED Parent View webpage at anytime. We hope that you will take the time to give some feedback and remind you that if you do have any worries or concerns then please come in and see us. Please click here to access Parent View.

Self-Evaluation

A good school constantly evaluates what it does. At Midsomer Norton Primary School, we have rigorous systems for self-evaluation. The academic progress of children and groups of children is analysed 3 times a year by the class teacher together with the relevant Subject Leader and the Head/Deputy Head. Progress is reported to governors via the Curriculum sub-committee which supports the school in identifying trends. The Curriculum sub-committee meet five times a year.
