Nursery
Our 60-place Nursery serves not only our school, but the whole town. We offer very flexible provision to children aged 3 or over. Parents can choose any combination of 5 sessions in a week (either morning or afternoon or both), subject to availability. New entrants are given a gentle induction, with their parents very much involved, before settling in fully. Routines and structures become familiar very quickly and our very experienced Nursery staff maintain an open dialogue with parents about each child's needs. During a typical Nursery session, a child will experience familiar registration routines, open play, directed play and plenty of opportunities to enjoy physical and social interactions. We have a quiet garden area for Nursery children, as well as a playground with climbing equipment and wheeled toys. Nursery children bring their own fruit each day, which they share in table groups, learning table manners and social skills.
Children start in our Nursery in the term after their 3rd birthday. (i.e. 3 by 31st August - September term, 3 by 31st December - January term, 3 by 31st March - Easter term.)
From September 2010, children are entitled to 15 hours per week. We offer flexible start and finish times between 8.30 a.m. & 3.30 p.m. Parents can pay for extra hours if we have space. The extra hours rate in September 2010 is £3.85 per hour.
APPLICATION FORMS FOR January 2011 ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE SCHOOL OFFICE NOW ~ Closing date 19 Nov 10
